Its time to give a chance to our young vibrant Zambian to exhibit his potential. We have already given a chance to the other old leaders to work and its time for them to rest. Vote H.H for fresh ideas.
Thanks for yo article, infact i was looking forward to this title heading. As at now , believe me or not SATA will make it for the first time to lead zambia.
My favourite president is Chilufya. If you don`t understand the manifesto of his politics, always contact pipo from western province like Ilute, inyambo and litunga who will tell you the facts and the route sata is following to lead zambian pipo. He is using the British colonial facts as the way of earning zambia`s economy and prosperity of our nation. Give him chance you`ll believe me today why many politians join in support of sata.
Iam rallying behind this great man by the name of sata to atleast to be given a chance. Do you know why? Because he reconciled with Mr Levy before his death.(MHSRIP),Mr levy agreed on one item during their reconciliation, and this Item was based on promise, and this promise was one day to rule zambia.and so,come november you`ll see the promise Dr mwanawasa through Mr SATA to ermege as president of the republic of zambia. You can see the wrangles and other calamities withing the ruling party now, this shows that MMD will be sold back to UNIPISTs of which other MMD exparts dislike.
Mr Munkombwe on today the 24th october`s post paper has come to believe that SATA IS THE MAN OF ACTION by telling pipo that SATA will win.
Mr BRM, send me the % and the figure # of the voters of those who are voting now through zambian chronicle in fairly manners to us without you supporting any party. You have to remain independent and act as electoral officer,ok? ask Madam Bellia to assist you. The result of assurance from the chronicle should come out to us in the right manners.Make sure you deliver your good services to us voters.
I do believe that with his education, diplomatic, diverse political and absolute passion for education and the country RB is best suited to lead us for the next 3 years. HH is promising but needs to gain “some” political experience and SATA is most certainly dangerous for the democracy & stability of our beutiful country…
our zambian elections will indeed be tightly contested, Michael chilufya Sata and Rupiah Bwezani Banda. Both contestants have experience to rule zambia and better the economy once given chance. RB can make it well if after winning he makes Finance Minister Ngandu Magande as his vice and not the hungry vouchers like VJ, AKA, Teta, Mulongoti, Mpombo etc. people will have no confidence becoz RB is really surronded by plunderers.
Sata can make a good leader as he is action oriented but the only problem we have now is the cabinet. he would definately not allow these vouchers to continue working with him. this would mean more expenses at on the already poor people of zambia.
we just need God’s guidance and allow his grace to take root in zambaia. vote wisely as your vote counts
Victor my own brother your observation has tantamounted to the real thing. I hope you understand the British colonial rule which our man SATA has under taken. Its good that you have appreciated the MUKOLO that my brother chilikumtima who just talk what ever is from his heart by saying is certainly dangerous.
Well done Victor!
I too cogratulate comment # 13 M K Whittletone for his best commnent.Take care guys!
Mr BRM, Why are you so quiet? are you ready to be in the boat? How are Bellia? We need your encouragement and good wishes as we try to near ourselves to statehouse on first 1st november. Those new equipments we`ve been talking about will come to an end.The calculation methodes of HH will fade as compared to Logarithism. May i hear your latest comment before sunrise on MCS.
… what Belliah, the rest of my team and I have tried to do is be as independent as possible by bringing out as much information as possible on each and every candidate. By the way we have more people at the Zambian Chronicle than the ones who usually post our articles; others are in the background all with divergent duties and political ideologies.
We are a multi-media enterprise and our business is not to shape peoples’ opinions but to be fair and balanced bringing out facts as we gather them. The smart people of the Zambian Enterprise would then make up their minds as to who they think would be the best leader at any given time.
That is the more reason why I mentioned in last week’s article that the Zambian Chronicle will support whoever is elected president come tomorrow. I also mentioned that we will critique such a one when we see mistakes made; we will offer advice usually through our weekly memos just like we have always done.
Now in the 2,011 we may endorse a candidate based on what we will believe then would be the best direction for the nation. Whoever will have best issues we will show those forth but for now this is a care-taker presidency with virtually no time for major campaigns.
We just went through a loss of a sitting president (MHSRIP) and we feel that we have to let the chips fall wherever they may; ain’t got no dogs in this fight my friend. Whatever must be, must be … thanks a trillion.
Mr Munkenda, commentors and the rest of our readers,
Thanks a lot for your trust in our team. We will do our best to bring out the positiveness of our Zambian Enterprise, and its prosperities.
This election is very important, please vote wisely,in peace, without any bias. Remember, the “one Zambia one nation” slogan.
We are one people, and most of us are Chritians I believe, even though we speak 73 different languages in Zambia, we are one big family.
Mr BRM, I appreciate and sorry if i have damaged any cause of frastrations in this time of election and thanks for your nice advise. as christians, we believe that God will burry our differences. Epecially after elections.
Thanks a trillion.
Kay, Your wonderful news to me broke as if you work at ECZ. Your article was a blessed one to me.I swallowed my saliver twice and fill as if you are the one to release results after tomorrow`s alection. You sounded good in my ears. Keep it up!!! and make sure your vote be on the boat, I will screen it,ok?
Thanks a trillion.
The 31st october results were so good as shown on the graph bellow that Sata was leading but what made me so worried was the incoming rapid ballots papers from other constituencies with high figures existing even from small land consists of less than 10million people per squire metres with no developments.
Saterday results were also fare but sunday evening results suprised some of us that we ended up loosing hope. Which criteria did ECZ used in counting ballot papers?. Were observers and UN arround during the counting progress? The same mathematic used was simillar to 2006 presidential and parliamentary election.I mean the same teachers and electoral officer were used in the same system-Which means even winning will be the same. Next time,ECZ should not be involved. Atleast independent personnel from outside are eager to deliver the right figures for transparencies. Mr BRM,please help me with this….
Zambia Votes’08 – Actual Elections Results
Candidate Votes Counted % Won
Michael C Sata (PF) 407,639 44.69%
… polling is not an exact science because it involves people’s emotions at a given time but it is the best predictor of the outcome.
What makes a poll accurate though is the ability to include the most representive sample thereby creating results that would fall within the central tendence.
When rural votes are involved though, if the sample and the methodology is not representative of the collective, final results end up with extrapolations not first considered.
It is for that reason that any sample needs to be a true representation while the methodoloy has to be simple giving the smallest margin of error.
Back to ECZ, the only way this can be justified is by having party officials positioned at each polling station with each party having its own Central Command.
As each returning officer from the 150 constituences report the returns, each party’s respresentative gets the same results and communicates them with the party’s Central Command thereby comparing those results with the tallies ECZ generates.
If there discrepancies, they need to be addressed in the process as each campaign compares results, in other words we need to work harder and put more trust in our own tabulating systems and when ECZ learns that there would be no tolerance to any deviations, they too would be vigilant … thanks a trillion
