You can tell from the manner election campaigns were conducted by the ruling party where 600,000 plus extra ballot papers ordered, and intimidation and so much project funds and promises were handed out to the rural illiterate electorate that elections were not fare. Then MMD polling agents caught with pre-cast ballot papers for RB and voting that went on past voting time in some parts of the rural areas all point to the aspects of rigging. In addition, there is absolutely no-way that RB and MMD could beat HH in Southern Province as we saw. It was also amazing how at lightning speed the MMD moved to swear-in RB as president. In my view, elections were just a mockery of democracy. Reported apathy among the registered voters was a sure sign that people are fed-up of MMD games and their rigging. These developments will forever continue to condemn Zambia to backwardness because the leadership is corrupt to the core. Zambia as a country is great but its leadership stinks. I rest my case.
