Lusaka, Zambia – The health condition of ailing Zambian President Levy Mw anawasa, continues to improve at the Percy Military Hospital in Paris, France, where he is admitted, vice-president Rupiah Banda disclosed in a statement issued here Thursday.
“The doctors treating Mwanawasa are satisfied with the steady progress he is making in his recovery,” Banda said.
He explained that the first lady, Maureen, and some family members are at the President’s bed side and that they are encouraged by the messages of goodwill and prayers for his full recovery.
“The Zambian nation will continue to be provided with updates on the President’s condition. I humbly request the nation to continue praying for His Excellency’s speedy recovery,” Banda said.
President Mwanawasa suffered a stroke 29 June and was subsequently evacuated to Percy Military Hospital 1 July where he is still admitted.

Get well soon but you have to step down as soon as you get back if at all you will come back. If MMd does not pick a credible candidate to match HH, thats the end of MMD’s rule coz HH will have a smooth ride to plot one come elections.
